Premier League side Aston villa are reportedly showing strong interest in Raphael Onyedika, with the Club Brugge midfielder emerging as a January target following an injury setback to Boubacar Camara.
According to transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri, Villa have already made an approach for the 24-year-old as they look to bolster their midfield options. Onyedika’s profile as a disciplined defensive midfielder is believed to fit well with Unai Emery’s system.
Villa face competition from Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, who are also keen on the Nigeria international. Reports suggest Galatasaray have gone a step further by agreeing personal terms with Onyedika and offering him a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The midfielder currently plays for Club Brugge, where he has impressed with his consistency and tactical intelligence in domestic and European competitions. His performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
Onyedika recently enhanced his reputation on the international stage as part of the Nigeria squad that finished third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. He was particularly outstanding in Nigeria’s final group match against Uganda, scoring twice and earning the Man of the Match award.
With multiple suitors now circling, Club Brugge may soon face a decision on the future of one of their key midfielders as the transfer window gathers momentum.
