A little female child, on Saturday, lost her life in an accident that happened at Osisioma Umuimo area of Aba, Abia State.
The accident involved a Lexus 330 SUV, a tricycle and a long truck conveying goods.
A transporter, who witnessed the accident, Mr. Igwe Nwoke, said that the tricycle which was loaded with passengers, crashed into the SUV while attempting to avoid the truck that was coming from opposite direction.
“Some of the passengers were seriously injured, including a little child who became unconscious”, Nwoke said.
He regretted that recklessness among drivers on the road has resulted in accidents on the road.
Confirming the accident to DAILY POST on Monday, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC in Abia State, Ngozi Ezeoma said that one female child died in the accident.
“One female child died. The crash happened at Osisioma Umuimo by Kentus Filling Station, involving a Lexus Jeep 330 and keke”, Ezeoma said.
