Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard has given his view on winger Mohamed Salah’s previous interview about manager Arne Slot and the club.
Recall that Salah had recently criticized both Liverpool and Slot for trying to throw him under the ‘bus.’
Following his comments, Slot decided to drop the Egyptian from Liverpool’s squad that defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Speaking on the development, Gerrard said that Liverpool and Salah need to solve the current problem.
“Ultimately, Liverpool needs Salah to recover his good competitive form and score again, because he is the best player, the best scorer, and he will help the team get out of trouble,” Gerrard said via TNT Sports.
“Salah is clearly very frustrated about not being able to play, and I respect his feelings.
“He wants to help the team, and I respect his feelings. As for what he said about pushing others out as scapegoats, that is wrong, and he needs to have a good talk with the head coach.”
