Wizkid’s intimate new album, Morayo—named in honor of his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, and meaning “I see joy” in Yoruba—has climbed to number six on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart.
The 16-track project blends Afrobeats, R&B, and reflective themes of loss, healing, and gratitude, featuring collaborations with Brent Faiyaz, Asake, and Burna Boy.
Its soulful production and cultural relevance have kept it resonating with fans long after its initial release.
Morayo debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria, with all 16 songs occupying 17 of the top spots on the Top Songs chart—a record-breaking achievement. Even four weeks post-launch, 15 tracks remained in the Top 100, and the album topped the charts on Christmas Day 2024.
The project has seen multiple comebacks in 2025, re-entering the Top 10 at No. 8 in November before rising to No. 6 just before its one-year mark.
Apple Music’s 2025 Nigeria year-end charts recognized Morayo as the Top Album of the Year, with Wizkid named Top Artist, and his single “Kese (Dance)” placing No. 2 on the Top Songs chart.

Fans celebrated the latest chart milestone across social media, reinforcing Wizkid’s enduring impact on the Nigerian music scene.
