Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has urged his old club to sign a left wing-back when the January transfer window opens.
Brown also insisted that midfielder Manuel Ugarte has not played as well this season for the Red Devils.
Speaking about the position Man United should strengthen in manager Ruben Amorim’s squad in the January transfer, Brown told the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: “Where would I like to get another player in? At the moment, Manuel Ugarte hasn’t played as well this season as you would’ve thought.
“But I am probably going to have to go with, and I am not sure if Luke Shaw can do it, a left wing-back,” he said.
The January transfer window is an opportunity for teams to bolster their squad for the second half of the season, and Man United are expected to bring in some new players.
The Red Devils signed several players, including Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo, in the last summer transfer window.
