Taraba Gov, Kefas visits Tinubu, enters closed door session

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State is currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor arrived at the State House in the company of the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, on Monday and proceeded to a closed-door session with the President.

News360 Info reports that Kefa’s meeting with President Tinubu is his first since he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

Recall that he was slated for an APC welcome on November 19, but suspended the ceremony, saying it would be insensitive to hold a political event as Kebbi reeled from the abduction of schoolgirls in Maga.

A few days earlier, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly and 15 lawmakers defected from the PDP to the APC, citing the need to align with the centre and the crisis in the opposition party at the national level.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the meeting are yet to be released.
