‘US Will Hold Nigeria Govt Responsible If Anything Happens To Rev Dachomo’ – US Lawmaker

United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has threatened that the United States will hold the Nigerian government responsible if anything happens to Plateau State cleric, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, over his campaigns highlighting alleged anti-Christian genocide.

News360 Info reports that Moore issued the warning in a post on his account, hours after the priest alleged receiving threats from loyalists of President Bola Tinubu over his videos documenting killings and mass burials of Christians in Plateau State.

In a video message posted on his Facebook page on November 21, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo alleged intimidation over his online disclosures.

“They are threatening and warning me to stop exposing President Bola Tinubu’s government over the ongoing killings of Christians by Fulani terrorists,” Dachomo said in the video.

He also alleged that his criticism triggered visits and warnings from officials linked to the Tinubu administration.

“Their silence endangers Christians all over Nigeria,” Dachomo further stated in the message.

Reacting to the pastor’s allegations, Congressman Moore referenced a separate incident in Plateau State while speaking on the House floor.

“I do want to highlight a case that just happened recently in the Plateau State,” Rep. Moore said.

He described how Nigerian authorities publicly disputed a previous warning by a pastor before lives were later lost.

Shortly after Rev. Dachomo’s video was published, his Facebook and Instagram pages were taken down in separate actions, according to advocacy groups monitoring the matter.

Meta’s refusal to allow the cleric to publish his videos was later communicated to his contacts, citing alleged national-security risks tied to his posts.

Moore, expressing concern over Rev. Dachomo’s safety, warned that those behind any threat or harm would be held to account diplomatically.

“The US will hold the Nigerian government responsible if anything should happen to the Pastor,” Moore said, reaffirming the United States’ stance on the matter.
