Fulham manager Marco Silva has lavished praise on Samuel Chukwueze after the Nigerian came off the bench to inspire the team’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland.
Chukwueze’s delightful cross was whipped in by Raul Jimenez for the winning goal late in the game.
It was the winger’s second assist in five league appearances for the Whites.
The 26-year-old created two key chances, posted a 100% dribble rate, and won all his duels against in-form Sunderland.
All of Chukwueze’s previous league outings came from the bench.
Silva is now considering handing the winger his first start.
“We always had the possession well balanced, good performance overall. Massive impact from Emile Smith Rowe and Chukwueze.
“We are going to need Samuel [Chukwueze] from the start, but we will lose him to AFCON soon. Clean sheet, solid.”
