Kumuyi Denies Making Statement On Christian Genocide In Nigeria

The General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi has denied reports linking him to comments on Christian genocide in Nigeria.

A false report had emerged claiming that Pastor Kumuyi said America was trying to steal Nigeria’s natural resources and denied that Christians were being targeted in the country.

News360 Info reports that the Deeper Life Bible Church in a statement on Sunday clarified that these reports are completely inaccurate.

The church said Pastor Kumuyi has not granted any recent interviews or made any public comments on political or national matters.

The church stressed that the cleric has been fully engaged with the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) programme, which recently held events in Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Pakistan.

The church urged all media outlets to retract the false reports and called on journalists to verify information before publication.

The statement read: “This is an official clarification: Any recent news reports or public statements being attributed to Pastor W.F. Kumuyi (@pastorwf_kumuyi) are false and inaccurate. Pastor Kumuyi is fully engaged with the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (@TheGCKHQ), which has recently held events …in Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Pakistan.

“He has not granted any recent press interviews or made public statements on other matters. We kindly request that all media outlets retract this false information and commit to verifying all future reports before publication.”
