“You allowed thugs enter my room, detain me for alleged N3.5m damage’ – Phyna calls out Abuja hotel

Reality TV star Josphine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has taken to social media to accuse a hotel in Abuja of endangering her life and allegedly detaining her over claims of damaging property worth ₦3.5 million.

The Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner recently went viral in a video showing her in a physical altercation with another woman.

According to Phyna, the incident occurred at a hotel in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja, where she was reportedly attacked after a group of touts gained unauthorized access to her room.

Taking to her Instagram handle, she revealed that the hotel management failed to protect her, claiming that the hotel’s staff allowed the men to pass through the main gate and reception before breaking down her door on the second floor.

Phyna further claimed that the hotel’s employees disclosed her room number to the intruders, leading to the confrontation that later escalated into chaos.

Expressing deep frustration over the incident, the reality star lamented her recent misfortunes, stating that she felt overwhelmed by the series of distressing experiences she has faced in 2025.

“Because I’m Phyna, I’m being forced by a hotel that couldn’t secure me in their premises. A hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception, up to the 2nd floor to break down the door. The same hotel that told the touts my room number. I’ve never seen that type of thing.”

“Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts to come into the hotel to fight me, and now they’re about to lock me up till Monday because I refused to pay ₦3.5 million,”

“This 2025 for just take me leave my sister,” she said.
