Nigerian actor Kunle Remi has honored late filmmaker Kayode Peters with a heartfelt tribute on what would have been his 50th birthday.
Peters, a renowned Nigerian film and stage director, passed away in Toronto, Canada, after a prolonged illness and was buried on August 2, 2025.
In an emotional Instagram post, Remi shared a photo of Peters, expressing gratitude for their time together and extending prayers to his family, especially his wife, Alexis, and their children.
“Happy heavenly 50th birthday, King KP. I will always be thankful for the moments we shared.
“Our love and prayers remain with your family. We’re here for Alexis and the kids,” he wrote.
The actor also shared life updates, mentioning the recurring Lekki flood, his latest film projects, and his fatherhood journey, promising to share more with Peters “when we meet again.”
The tribute drew heartfelt reactions from fans and industry colleagues, including Moses Babatope, who commended Remi for honoring Peters’ legacy.
