Boko Haram Abducts Teenager In Adamawa As Troops Launch Rescue Mission

According to Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on Thursday when Ayuba and another boy, Augustine (17), went into the bush around 1:25 p.m. to fetch firewood.

Armed men, believed to be Boko Haram terrorists, have abducted 18-year-old Azura Ayuba in Kopre village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

According to Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on Thursday when Ayuba and another boy, Augustine (17), went into the bush around 1:25 p.m. to fetch firewood.

They were confronted by about 20 insurgents. Augustine narrowly escaped, but Ayuba was taken captive.

Following the report, troops of Operation Hadin Kai and members of the Civilian JTF launched a joint manhunt to track the terrorists and rescue the victim.

Ealier this month, Police in Adamawa has rescued five male children believed to have been abducted from Borno and brought to Mubi in Adamawa.
