Bayern Munich have insisted that Nicolas Jackson must return to London following his failed transfer.
Metro Sport reports that the Senegalese International does not want to go back to Chelsea after the Blues aborted his move at the dying moments.
Speaking with Bild on the current situation, Bayern Sporting Director, Max Eberl, noted that Jackson is still under contract with Chelsea and would have to return to his club.
Bayern were about to seal the deal to bring Jackson to Germany before Chelsea aborted the deal.
Chelsea could no longer allow the Senegalese leave Stamford Bridge following an injury to Liam Delap.
Delap sustained a hamstring injury that could see him sidelined for about six to eight weeks during the Blues 2-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chelsea quickly informed the German Bundesliga side that Jackson will no longer be allowed to leave.
Before Delap’s injury, Jackson was already on his way to Germany to complete his loan move.
Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca earlier admitted that the Blues would be short of strikers due to the situation and needed to find a solution immediately.
Bayern and Chelsea had already agreed £13 million deal agreed on Saturday
Speaking on the failed transfer, Eberi told Bild, “The current situation is that the boy is here in Munich, but we’re sending him back. That’s the current status; I can’t predict the future. I’m not in a position to act now.
‘We’re telling the player and his agent they have to go back to London. We don’t have a signed contract, even though we’ve reached an agreement. He has a contract with Chelsea.”
From all indications, Jackson, who has not played for Chelsea this season, will now work his way back to Maresca’s starting XI.
