Transfer: PSG sign Ajibade on free transfer

French D’Arkema giants Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the signing of Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade.

Ajibade moved to PSG on a free transfer after severing ties with Spanish club Atletico Madrid in June.

The 25-year-old is now the second Nigerian st PSG with midfielder Jennifer Echegini already a key member of the team.

The winger started her professional career in Norway with Avaldsnes IL.

Ajibade netted 12 goals in 39 appearances for the club.

She spent five years with Atletico Madrid, winning two trophies – Supercopa de Espana, and Copa de la Reina.

On the international scene, Ajibade captained the Super Falcons to win the title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in June.

The former FC Robo Queens star was named Player of the Tournament.
