Imposing an indefinite flight ban on a Nigerian citizen without a valid law and due process isn’t lawful – Lawyer tells Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo

A Nigerian jurist, Charles Omole, has kicked against the statement of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Management, Festus Keyamo, in which he stated that the accused Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson, has been placed on an indefinite flight ban both local and international by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Reacting via his X handle, Omole argued that neither an airline nor the Ministry of Aviation can lawfully impose an indefinite flight ban on a Nigerian citizen without a valid law and due process.

He argued that the indefinite flight ban on Ms Emmanson could be seen as a breach of her constitutional rights and could be challenged in court.
