Nigerian football legend, Sunday Oliseh has urged Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen to pray.
Oliseh said this while offering solutions to Osimhen regarding his football career after the 26-year-old joined Galatasaray on a permanent transfer after failing to get a move to the Premier League this summer.
Recall that Osimhen recently joined Galatasaray from Napoli on a permanent deal after top clubs in the Premier League including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United decided not to sign him this summer.
However, Oliseh believes the top clubs will eventually come for Osimhen next year if Nigeria qualifies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Victor has to pray,” Oliseh said in a video circulated on social media.
“He needs Nigeria to be at the next World Cup.
“He has to continue leading the team, but even more now. To make sure that Nigeria qualifies for the next World Cup.
“Nigeria going to the World Cup and him playing well, then clubs will forget these issues that are all around him, short from that he will have problem.”
Nigeria currently occupies the fourth position in the Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, behind South Africa, Rwanda and Benin Republic.
