NNPCL increases fuel price for the second time in 4 days

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has increased the pump price of premium motor spirit across its retail outlets in the country for the second time in four days.

News360 Info correspondents gathered that NNPCL filling stations in Abuja have increased their petrol price to N945 per litre. This was the case in NNPCL retail outlets in Kubwa, Lugbe Expressway, Wuse Zone 4 and Wuse Zone 5.

The same fuel pump of N945 per litre is reflected in NNPCL filling stations in parts of Nassarawa and Kogi states.

The National Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi, confirmed the fresh fuel price hike on Friday.

“The latest increase in NNPCL petrol pump was implemented this morning. I cannot tell the reason,” he said.

The latest increment of petrol pump in NNPCL retail outlets comes after it had a reduction in price barely two days ago to N900 per litre, down from N955 traded on Monday, 4th August.

The fluctuations in NNPCL retail fuel price come after Dangote Refinery increased its ex-depot price of the product to N850 per litre from N820.

Meanwhile, MRS and Bova filling stations dispense fuel at N885 and N895 per litre, respectively, while Optima, Ranoil, AA Rano, NIPCO, and other filling stations in Abuja sell the product between N950 and N955 per litre as of Friday evening.
