One-term presidency: ‘To be Nigeria’s President not moi moi’ – Joe Igbokwe tackles Obi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has accused former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of desperation.

Igbokwe said only those who don’t know Nigeria and what leadership entails would be demanding for a single term presidency.

Rubbishing Obi’s vow that he would serve only one term if elected, Igbokwe said to be President of Nigeria is not “moi moi”.

Posting on X, Igbokwe wrote: “Desperation everywhere. Those who do not know Nigeria very well and those who do know what leadership is all about are desperately asking for a single term in office as President.

“Let us put our thinking caps. To be President of Nigeria is not moi moi.”

Obi had, over the weekend, restated his vow to serve only one term if elected President in 2027.
