By-election: INEC releases names of 5 candidates for Ibadan North Federal Constituency

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the names of five candidates contesting the forthcoming bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State.

The names were contained in a statement issued by the electoral body.

The bye-election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 16, following the death of the immediate past occupant of the seat, Hon. Musliudeen Olaide Akinremi.

Akinremi, who was serving a second term under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, died in July last year.
