Troops foil Boko Haram, ISWAP ambush in Borno

Troops conducting counter-insurgency operations in Borno State have repelled a coordinated attack by suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in the early hours of Sunday at Mangada, a community near the Nigeria–Cameroon border.

The development was disclosed in a post on Monday by security analyst Zagazola Makama via X.

According to the report, the insurgents launched the attack at about 2:15 a.m., attempting to overrun a military position in the area. A reinforcement team was swiftly mobilised to support the troops under fire.
