Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 election in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has slammed critics who say he lacks grassroot support.
Rhodes-Vivour spoke via X on Wednesday.
He said that the governorship election in Lagos State was characterized by violence.
“For my election, there was violence widespread across the entire state. If you don’t not have grassroot support, you would not bother putting such formation to be able to stop the other person.
“You would not bother desecrating our traditional institution and to be able to create the political hole that moves with election time table. Those who said I have no grassroot support are actually deceiving themselves,” he said.
