The interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has warned members that the party will not accept any anti-party activities or indiscipline.
News360 Info reports the former Senate President disclosed this while addressing some ADC members in Abuja.
Mark said there is no midway in the coalition, stressing that only committed ADC members would be carried along in the scheme of things under his leadership.
He said, “There will be zero tolerance for anti-party and any form of indiscipline; you are either in ADC or not in ADC.
“No mid-way in this business and those not with us, we will not carry them along.
“Those who are not totally committed will not be carried along.
“We shall reverse our grassroot leadership structures to reflect modern realities from the polling units upwards to the national level. Every organ reenergised.
“We will open the gates for the next generations, our policies, nominations and roles will reflect such.”
Meanwhile, ADC announced on Tuesday that it now has 28 senators and over 100 elected representatives across the country.
News360 Info reports that the party shared this update during its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
Ralph Nwosu, the party’s founder and first National Chairman, revealed that the ADC has continued to grow in strength at both national and state levels.
He said this progress came from the party’s decision to reject financial offers aimed at influencing its direction and weakening its role as an opposition voice.
Nwosu explained that the refusal to be swayed by money has helped the party attract serious-minded politicians and build trust among voters.
According to him, the ADC now has more than 46 members in the House of Representatives and over 50 lawmakers in different state assemblies.
He said the total number of elected officials across the party has crossed 100 and is still increasing.
