2027: ‘PDP Is Gone, It Has Lost The Confidence Of The Public’ – Adamu Garba

Former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost the public’s confidence.

News360 Info reports that Garba made this known during an interview on AIT’s programme, Focus Nigeria.

The APC chieftain opined that the PDP is no longer an Iroko tree but a cucumber.

According to Garba, PDP is in a self-destruct mode, adding that the party cannot achieve anything in the 2027 election.

He said, “The way to know if a party or a society is growing is just to look at the allegory of a tree. You have roots, you grow and make fruits, you drop seeds, and then they start growing again.

“But what we are having now is that they are moving back to the roots again after all the branches have dried up and the leaves have dropped.

“An Iroko tree has the lifespan of 100 years but then PDP is not an Iroko tree, I think it’s a cucumber because it’s gone.

“To the best of my knowledge, PDP has lost the confidence of the public so I don’t want to categorise them as anything at all in the coming 2027 election.

“The party’s self-destruction is caused by PDP members. You saw the issue that they have between the FCT Minister and former Vice President who was there, the internal issues during their last convention, there is a lot of confusion within the PDP.

“They really caused their self-destruction and that is why they are now organising themselves in a nostalgic mode to replay the game of 1998, 1999 and see the possibility of if they will ever survive.”
