Popular Nigerian Gospel Singer, Gaise Baba Opens Up On Addiction To Porn0graphy (Video)

Renowned Nigerian gospel singer Akinade Ibuoye, popularly known as Gaise Baba, has shared his personal journey through struggles with purity, addiction, and his eventual breakthrough in music and ministry.

The singer said he got married as a virgin but admitted that his journey toward maintaining s*xual purity was not without struggles.

Speaking in an interview With Chude, Gaise Baba revealed that he started watching porn0graphy at the age of 15 and eventually became addicted, even after making a personal commitment to purity.

“Yes, I married as a virgin. I and my wife. It took more time, sir, before we find the way. I was 15 when I started watching bad things. Now, there’s something you call covenant of purity. Something you come into to say, you’re not going to have s*x, you get married. I just scribble something. I sign it, go to meet the pastor. I’m like, my covenant of purity.

“In fact, it was shortly after that I got addicted to p0rn. I knew that under the right temperature and pressure any man can fall.”

Gaise Baba also opened up about his major hit, No Turning Back, featuring Lawrence Oyor.

The song which was released in 2025 gained popularity and marked a turning point in his music career.

He said breakthrough came just two weeks after he lost his mother.

“This season everybody’s talking about kicked off like two weeks after my mom passed. Fame came at a point that I was no longer looking it.”
