Coroner Demands ‎Criminal Prosecution Of Nurse Who Treated Mohbad

The Coroner’s Court sitting in Ikorodu, Lagos, has recommended the criminal prosecution of auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, over the death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

News360 Info recalls that an Inquest was set up by the Lagos State Government to unravel the controversial circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad.

‎The Magistrate C.A. Shotobi, while delivering the court’s findings on Friday, July 11, 2025, said the nurse acted with gross negligence by administering an injection to Mohbad without a doctor’s prescription.

The court, however, ruled out foul play or homicide in the case and held that the actions of the nurse were both unlawful and professionally negligent.

The magistrate said, “In pursuant to section 29 of the coroner laws of Lagos State, this court recommends that the prosecution of the unlicensed medical personnel by the office of the Director of Public Prosecution should commence appropriate prosecution against Felicia Ogedengbe for unlawful medical practice and gross negligence.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian street sensation, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has lashed out at fellow artiste, Zlatan Ibile.

He accused him of refusing to speak about the events surrounding the death of late singer Mohbad.

Mohbad, whose full name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.

His death stirred public anger, especially after reports surfaced that he had been treated by an unlicensed nurse.

The controversy intensified when an old video resurfaced online showing Mohbad being harassed during a video shoot by Sam Larry, a known associate of Naira Marley.

Zlatan was also present during that incident but has remained silent since then.

Recently, online critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM) reignited public interest in the case by sharing an interview with Sam Larry.

This led to renewed calls for everyone involved to speak up.

As pressure grew, Zlatan reportedly claimed he was told by his mother to avoid getting involved to prevent trouble.

This explanation did not sit well with Portable, who responded in a viral video accusing Zlatan of using his mother as an excuse to avoid the matter.
