Buhari serial loser, coalition helped him defeat Jonathan – Adeyanju to Boss Mustapha

Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has described former President Muhammadu Buhari as a serial loser like ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

Adeyanju said Buhari won’t have defeated former President Goodluck Jonathan without the help of the then coalition, which included President Bola Tinubu.

He was reacting to claims by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha that Buhari’s 12 million votes helped him win in 2015.

Mustapha insisted that Tinubu was not instrumental to Buhari’s then victory.

He spoke during the unveiling of the book, “According to the President: Lessons from a Presidential Spokesperson’s Experience,” authored by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s ex-spokesman.

He said Buhari already had over 12 million existing votes and that the merger of the legacy parties brought in three million votes.

Rubbishing his claim, Adeyanju said the former SGF was trying to rewrite history.

Posting on X, Adeyanju wrote: “The statement of Boss Mustapha yesterday that Buhari won 2015 election all by himself because he brought in 12 million votes is beyond delusional, it is an attempt to re-write history.

“The coalition won the 2015 election and not Buhari. Buhari was a serial loser like Atiku before the coalition happened.

“Almost everyone ganged up against GEJ to help Buhari win the election; from the PDP governors that defected to join the then coalition and PDP governors who didn’t leave the party to Tinubu, Atiku, Amaechi, Barack Obama, the naive citizens who believed Buhari and APC were going to change Nigeria, etc.”
