Tell the world how I betrayed you – Kenneth Okonkwo challenges Peter Obi

A former Spokesman for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo, has challenged the 2023 presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi, to tell the world how he betrayed him after leaving the Labour Party.

Okonkwo made this statement when he played host to Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme, adding that he never consulted any of Obi’s rivals during the poll.

He said, “When I worked for him, I never consulted any politician. I am making a public statement. I never talked to any political party. I was 100% loyal.

“When I left, I told the whole world…I said from now onward, I am not going to speak for this person again.

“They don’t understand what betrayal means. Anybody who is writing or saying anything about me is a reflection of who that person is; not a reflection of who I am.”

Recall that in July 2024, the fiery supporter of Obi during the last poll, parted ways with the former Anambra governor and dumped the Labour Party.

The Nollywood star-turned-politician had expressed his disappointment with LP’s intra-party squabbles and Obi’s failure to address it.

He also denied receiving money or a house from Obi during the last electioneering process.

The legal practitioner said he would allow Obi to be entitled to his opinion, adding that no one fights fot God.

Okonkwo said since Obi made an insinuation that Jesus had 12 disciples and one turned against him, it means he’s claiming he is the Jesus in the analogy.

“How can you betray somebody you are not working for,” Okonkwo asked.
