We thought our messiah had come and went all out to campaign for Tinubu, but got nothing in return – Actor Alapini Oosa cries out over not getting compensated for campaigning for President Tinubu in 2023 election

Veteran Nigerian actor Ganiu Nofiu, popularly known as Alapini Oosa, has publicly expressed his disappointment over the lack of recognition and compensation he feels he deserves after supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general election.

In a video circulating online, Alapini lamented that despite actively campaigning for the president alongside more than a hundred others, even reaching the most remote areas, neither he nor his colleagues have received any acknowledgement or reward for their efforts.

“We thought our messiah had come,” the actor said, adding that many individuals campaigned vigorously in support of Tinubu’s candidacy, demonstrating their belief in him. Alapini specifically mentioned fellow actor Olaiya Igwe, who gained attention in 2022 for his bold displays of support at a beach where he was stark n@ked, yet, according to Alapini, he has not received any compensation for his efforts.

“How many hospitals has Seyi Tinubu visited in Yorubaland?” Alapini asked, expressing the frustrations of supporters who feel overlooked after actively participating during the campaign period.

The veteran actor ended with a sharp comment about future political involvement, stating, “Maybe what people will get for the 2027 re-election campaign is curses.”
