The police said the raid was part of efforts to clamp down on the activities of youth gangs, popularly known as Yan Daba, and to restore law and order across the metropolis.

CP Bakori also warned against the display of weapons during traditional performances such as “Gangi,” and cautioned against using social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to promote or glamorise violence.

The command further stated that parents, guardians, or blacksmiths who aid, conceal, or contribute to such activities would be investigated and prosecuted.
