Ugochukwu Orji, an officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service who apprehended Levi Obieze—the suspected ritu@list who fled from Enugu State—is set to be honoured by his hometown community in Isiala Ngwa, Abia State.
Orji is also to be celebrated for rejecting the N10 million he was reportedly offered.
The member representing the Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South LGA in the National Assembly, Ginger Onwusibe made this known.
Onwusibe, who is the Co-planning Chairman of the upcoming Grand Civic Reception in honour of the Governor Alex Otti, said that the people of Isiala Ngwa had resolved to also recognize Officer Ugochukwu Orji for his outstanding integrity and courage.
The lawmaker praised officer Orji for living up to the values of integrity and honour associated with Isiala Ngwa people and Abians at large:
“Congratulations, our dear brother. You have made us proud and shown that Isiala Ngwa people can be trusted.
“We have resolved to honour you tomorrow alongside the Governor.
“I have sent a request for you to be released by your office to attend the event.
“We will take care of your air ticket and logistics.
“We are proud of you,” he said.
Also, the Alumni of Holy Family Secondary school, Osusu in Isiala Ngwa have praised the Immigration officer for displaying courageous and exemplary conduct notable of the institution he passed through.
