Nigerians very disappointed in Super Eagles – Ahmed Musa

The captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa, has noted that Nigerian football supporters are deeply disappointed with the team.

He said that recent performances of the senior national team have been below expectations.

Musa said this ahead of the Super Eagles’ game against Ghana in Wednesday’s Unity Cup match at the Gtech Community Stadium.

“We know that a lot of Nigerians are, I would say, very disappointed in the Super Eagles,” Musa told the Super Eagles media team in London.

He, however, called on the supporters to keep cheering for their darling team, adding that their support would go a long way.

Musa said he is always glad whenever he is called upon to represent the national team.

He hailed the Super Eagles coach for taking his time to watch the Nigerian Professional League to scout good players for the national team.

Nigeria takes on Ghana in the Unity Cup on Wednesday, and the coach would see the game as an opportunity to introduce players into his team.
