Sea pirates abduct 18 passengers along Rivers waterways

The recent attacks by suspected sea pirates in Rivers State have raised concerns about security along the waterways. In separate incidents, 18 people were abducted, including five passengers on a wooden cargo boat heading to Bonny and 13 travelers en route to Bille. The pirates also hijacked boats, including one that had previously been targeted in March.

A third attack occurred off Tourist Beach in Port Harcourt, where another speedboat was seized, though fortunately, no passengers were aboard at the time. The Rivers State Police Command has assured the public that efforts are underway to rescue the victims safely.

This situation highlights ongoing security challenges in the region. Let me know if you need further details.
