Unidentified gunmen have killed a man, Garbati Fnu and his son, Abubakar Babuga Garbati along Bungudu-Duhuwa Road in Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the gunmen further took away their motorcycle.
According to a source, their bodies were carried to the General Hospital Bungudu for autopsy before being released to their family for burial.
It was also learnt that later that same evening, a group of armed bandits ambushed members of the Community Police Guards, CPG, operating at a checkpoint between Sauna and Gidan Kano, along the Sokoto-Gusau highway.
The bandits overpowered the CPG members, and abducted one of them, Asiru Dawa, and took him to an undisclosed location.
Military operatives have since launched an operation to track down the bandits and rescue the abducted CPG member.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to issue a statement on the incidents.
