Sexual Harassment: Natasha Akpoti, Akpabio had personal relationship before Senate’ – Ireti Kingibe

The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe, on Friday disclosed that Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti had personal relationship with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio before coming to the Senate.

Kingibe, however, noted that the other three female senators never had any personal relationship with Akpabio before the senate, unlike Natasha.

She made the remark on Arise TV in response to Natasha’s sexual harassment allegations against Akpabio.

Natasha had accused Akpabio of sexual harassment and denying her privileging for turning down his overtures.

Disclosing this, Akpabio said the other female senators have been quiet over their treatment for reasons best known to them.

But, Akpabio’s wife, Unoma dismissed, claiming that the Kogi Central Senator was only creating content for her personal gains.

However, Kingibe said: “This is about the rules of the Senate, so other women have been moved several times. On that day, I wasn’t there but gathered that other men were also moved.

I want women to know that we have to follow the rules of the institution we choose to enter. Whether there is sexual harassment between them? They already had personal relationship before they came to the senate.

The three of us had no relationship with Akpabio before we came.

I don’t have relationships with Akpabio to discuss sexual harassment with Akpabio, when I go to the Senate and my neighbours or Natasha is not there, I collect documents on their behalf.
