Russian drone attack on Ukraine kills one

Local authorities on Saturday said a Russian drone attack killed a rail worker at a crossing outside Kyiv and falling drone fragments struck a building inside the capital.

According to Kyiv region officials, the rail worker was killed in Boryspil district, east of the city.

The strike was said to have sparked a fire in a storage area and shattered windows in a multi-storey apartment building and an educational institution.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said drone fragments fell on private residences in the Solomyanskyi district in the west of the city, prompting a fire that was quickly extinguished and smashing windows in a nearby building.
