Operatives of CP Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) led by ASP Julius Robinson have arrested the leader of a suspected kidnapping gang, simply Identified as Emeka.
The suspect has been terrorising Abraka/Obiaruku/Umutu in Delta State.
He was arrested on 02/02/25 at about 1635hrs, DAILY POST learnt.
The fleeing suspect was arrested in his house at Evwokenren layout, off Ughelli road, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Delta State Police Command, led by CP Olufemi Abaniwonda confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.
According to Edafe, “During the raid, a fabricated Semi-Automatic Beretta Pistol with four (4) rounds of live ammunition, four locally made cut-to-size guns, thirteen (13) rounds of live cartridges, and a pair of military uniforms concealed in a black polythene bag were recovered.
The suspect is in custody and a manhunt to arrest other members of his gang is ongoing.
