Natasha: ‘Akpabio worst Senate president ever, no respect for female colleagues’ – Deji

Popular activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju says Senator Godswill Akpabio claims the “worst Senate President” Nigeria has ever produced.

Deji, who made the claim in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday night, was reacting to the chaos that erupted at the Senate chamber on Thursday.

News360 Info recalls that there was a rowdy section at the Senate on Thursday during plenary proceedings when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member representing the Kogi Central refused to use the seat allocated to her.

The female lawmaker, who cited Order 10 of the Senate Standing Rules, which according to her, protects the privileges of members, argued that her seat cannot be changed without her notice.

Refusing to comply with the new seat arrangement, Natasha challenged the decision of Akpabio to change her seat, sparking a heated exchange in the chamber.

A viral video clip captured Natasha challenging the Senate President, saying, “I am not afraid of you.

Reacting, Deji alleged that Akpabio has “no respect or regard” for female colleagues, citing how Senator Ireti Kingibe was previously embattled at the chamber.

He wrote, “Akpabio, the worst Senate president in Nigeria’s history. Acts so bitter like a man that his ego has been bruised by a woman.

First, it was Senator Ireti Kingibe, now it’s Senator Natasha. He has no respect or regard for the only two women in the red chamber.
