Israel-Hamas swap to continue amid claim child hostages were killed with ‘bare hands’

Israelis and Palestinians will continue their exchange of hostages, prisoners and detainees on Saturday.

This is after uproar in Israel over allegations that two child hostages were “brutally murdered” by Hamas.

Hamas had also failed to produce the body of Shiri Bibas, instead returning the corpse of an unidentified woman.

The Israel Defense Forces, the IDF, released a statement on Friday afternoon saying the autopsy results and military intelligence concluded that members of Hamas “used their bare hands” to kill 4-year-old Ariel Bibas and his 10-month-old brother, Kfir Bibas when they were seized in October 2023.

Their father, [the recently released hostage] Yarden Bibas, looked me in the eyes and asked that the whole world know and be shocked by the way they murdered his children,” the military spokesperson R Adm Daniel Hagari said in a video address.

Hamas had claimed that an Israeli attack killed the 32-year-old Shiri and her two boys.

Hamas are yet to react to Israel’s allegation on how the children were killed.

News360 Info reported on Thursday that Hamas handed over to Israel the remains of the Bibas children, alongside 85-year-old Oded Lifshitz, and a fourth unidentified person who was supposed to be Shiri Bibas.

Israel demands return of Shiri Bibas’s body as Hamas claims it is mixed with other remains.
