Residents of some Maradun communities in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have lamented the presence of a notorious bandits’ leader, Bello Turji.
News360 Info gathered that loyalists of Turji, traveling on motorcycles and carrying casualties, were observed by local residents on the evening of January 19 and the morning of January 20, 2025, moving toward the Garsa/Kadanya area in the Bayanruwa den.
According to eyewitnesses, the fleeing bandits traversed a route that included Galadi, Damaga, Rudunu, Danbenchi, and some have reportedly been spotted near the Rudunu, Bankamawa, and Farfaru areas under Faru District, as previously reported.
Further intelligence suggests that Bello Turji, alongside some of his men, is currently at the Garsa/Kadanya hideout, hosted by Jummo Smally, a former rival of Turji.
All efforts to contact the state police spokesman proved unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
