Dreaded bandit leader, Turji Bello has been spotted in Kalage Forest in the Mashema axis of Eastern Kagara, Zamfara State.
Security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that Turji is said to be operating from the area alongside two of his key lieutenants, identified as Office and Ibrahim Buzu.
“Turji and his associates have established a stronghold within the forest, supported by several armed militants and large herds of livestock, which are believed to be part of their plunder from ongoing raids,” Makama said.
Makama added that on Thursday, Turji shot a video, but was scared to release it due to the fear that he will be tracked and struck from the position.
Lately, the Nigerian military had intensified onslaught against Turji and other bandits across the North-West.
The intensified military onslaught had led to the death of Turji’s son.
