Support Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB or leave them alone – Ejimakor to Southeast leaders

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has charged leaders and people of the Southeast to either support the Biafra agitator’s struggle for the defence of the interests of region or leave them alone.

Ejimakor said Kanu’s leadership is a big umbrella that embraces legions including family, IPOB, entire Ndigbo, stressing that Kanu is not owned by anyone.

He made the remark while recalling his social media post in 2021 when he gave a similar charge and made a similar call for support.

The human rights lawyer had in the 2021 post said that for far too long, Kanu and IPOB have heroically borne the burden of defending the interests of the Eastern Nigeria.

According to him, it has been a heavy burden borne in blood, honour and patriotism, that anyone being hurt by Nigeria should either support Kanu and IPOB or leave them alone.

He wrote, “For far too long, @MaziNnamdiKanu & the #POB have heroically borne the burden of DEFENDING the interest of Eastern Nigerians (aka: #Biafrans).

“It’s indeed a heavy burden, borne in BLOOD, honor & patriotism. If Nigeria is hurting you, support them.
Otherwise, leave them alone.”

However, Ejimakor posted on X: “The screenshot below bears an epic Tweet I made in 2021 that was as true then as it is today.

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s leadership is a big umbrella that embraces legions – family, IPOB, entire Ndigbo, Biafrans & more. He’s not owned by anyone.”
