Your Dream Of Becoming President In 2027 Will Not Fly – Igbokwe To Atiku

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has advised the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to shelve his 2027 political ambition till 2031.

Speaking via a Facebook post on Monday, he insisted that it is impossible for Atiku to become president in 2027

He said: “Former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is still struggling and dreaming of being president of Nigeria in 2027.

“It cannot fly, all things considered. He should wait till 2031. Even at that, age is not on his side.”

This is coming against the backdrop of the remark by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume that nobody from the North should contest against President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Akume had said the likes of Atiku and other Northern leaders should allow Tinubu continue his second tenure in 2027.

He wrote: “Let me remind the Authorities concerned that Nigerians are still throwing Naira notes on ground and still walking on it at parties, burial, naming ceremonies etc. Have we lifted the ban? So that you know.”

As part of efforts to disabuse naira mutilation, some Nigerian celebrities were made to face the wrath of the law.

Naija News reports that popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky was handed a six months jail term.

Also, a socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, was arraigned for naira abuse.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail.
