Alleged Imo IDP camp: Ekpa bans government building projects

Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa, has banned government building projects in Imo State.

Ekpa’s action comes amid claims that the government planned to build a refugee, migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp in the Nsu Ehime Mbano study center of the National Open University of Nigeria.

Ekpa, self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, BRGIE, in a statement on his X account, banned further government building projects.

According to him, the move is to protect the lives and properties of Biafrans in the state.

“For the security of Biafrans, there will be no further building project by the Nigeria government in Imo State from today, whether directly or by proxy.

Every building project is banned, and the Biafra government will rebuild Imo.

Meanwhile, the viral video which claimed that an IDP camp would be built in Imo had created discontent among indigenes of the state.

However, the Imo State Government completely dismissed such claims.

This comes days after the residence of Frank Ibezim, an ex-senator who represented Okigwe North (Okigwe Zone) and the NOUN study centre at Nsu were set ablaze.

The incident was condemned by the Police Command, the Imo State Government and Senator Ibezim.

News360 Info reports that the Nigerian government has been making plans to repatriate Ekpa from Finland.
