Edo Guber: Ganduje confident of APC victory

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed confidence that the party will win the September 21 Edo governorship election.

Ganduje made the declaration on Thursday in Kano while receiving the leadership of the State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, led by its Chairman, Aminu Garko.

According to him, a political machinery has been put in place to pave the way for a landslide victory of the party’s candidate.

He expressed belief that their campaign was in high spirits, adding that they were getting ready for the election to recover the state.

This, he said is because Edo was an APC state, which internal bubbles made them lose to the PDP, assuring of getting it back into an APC state.

For Ondo State, Ganduje said it is already an APC state, saying that although they are issues left by the late governor which they would resolve.

“If we win Edo, we will be getting an additional state for the party. It will be 21 states out of 36.

Next year, there will be Anambra, which has been a state governed by APGA for many years, but we have introduced a new scheme.

The North, South-East political zones are all claiming that they have been marginalised.

The South-East geopolitical zone is saying the same thing. But what we are telling them is that the marginalisation has been created by them,” he said.
