When Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara offered the #EndBadGovernance demonstrators money in exchange for clean water on Thursday at the Port Harcourt Government House, they retaliated violently.
According to News360 Info, the governor’s attempt to appease the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protestors with a meager financial gesture and a request that they leave the area exacerbated their resentment.
Speaking to the demonstrators in front of Government House, Fubara stated, “I appreciate your composure. I appreciate you being here. I understand your suffering. I want to reassure you that I will give the President your message.
