Tuesday night, tragedy struck when Onyeka Onwenu, the renowned singer and composer from Nigeria, died just after taking the stage at a birthday celebration in Lagos.
The legendary musician, dubbed the “Elegant Stallion,” allegedly passed away at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, after collapsing at a private event. The devastating news was confirmed to The Guardian by sources close to the family.
When Onwenu performed on stage, she was there to celebrate Mrs. Stella Okoli’s birthday, the founder of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
