Nationwide Protest: Lagos Assembly Speaker, Agege Leaders Meet Residents

In a meeting on Wednesday, Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and other prominent figures from the Agege neighborhood of Lagos emphasized the importance of maintaining unity, fortitude, and patience while the nation prepares for a widespread protest.

Eromosele Ebhomele, the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, reports that the leaders also visited with local youth organizations and reminded them that President Bola Tinubu is striving to address Nigeria’s problems.

The 10-day demonstration is scheduled to start on Thursday, August 1, 2024. However, according to Mudashiru Obasa, Agege is a unique region of Lagos where people have benefited from democracy, particularly in the field of infrastructure, which has increased commerce.
