Strict security measures have been implemented around the National Assembly (NASS), as the National Assembly Management notified the National Assembly Legislative Aides’ Forum (NASSLAF) on Tuesday.
It was learned that the national protest was the reason behind the NASS’s enforcement of the rule. The forum was also asked to alert its members to this information.
As a result, the NASSLAF spokeswoman, Toyo Jimmy, issued a statement outlining the security arrangements in place for the duration of the demonstration, starting on August 1, 2024:
