Disgruntled MTN consumers have flocked to the company’s offices around the country, venting their anger and annoyance at the telecom behemoth for barring their phone numbers.
According to News360 Info, MTN disconnected many users’ cellphone lines on Sunday, allegedly as a result of their inability to link their phone numbers to their National Identity Numbers (NINs).
This move complies with the direction issued by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on July 31, 2024, to disconnect Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) numbers that are not associated with NINs.
