Callistus Okafor, the party’s self-declared national chairman, has received a strong warning from the Labour Party (LP) not to purposefully enter jail to show contempt for the law.
Obiora Ifoh, the LP’s national publicity secretary, issued this caution on Friday in Abuja in response to Okafor’s assertion that he was chairman.
According to reports, Okafor unilaterally declared himself the National Chairman of the Party at a news conference earlier in the day, claiming to be a member of the Labour Party’s 2014 National Convention.
